Project Skills

Project Skills in an on-the-job-training program coordinated between the school and the South Dakota Vocational Rehabilitation Services and is designed for students with disabilities.
Students have a total of 250 hours per academic year to work in jobs of their choice. They must be enrolled in a secondary education program, and must meet minimum academic and attendance requirements.
Students are determined eligible for vocational rehabilitation services by a vocational rehabilitation counselor. An individual is eligible when they have a physical disability or a learning disability which can result in an impediment to employment. Students who participate in Project Skills are more prepared and more likely to be able to retain gainful employment after graduation.
